Port Erin Commissioners have criticised dangerous littering on the town’s beach.
It took to social media to post pictures of broken beer bottles half-buried in the sand.
The local authority added its tractor-drawn surf rake is currently out of use, and so staff were having to clean the beach manually.
It said that as the beach becomes more popular, problems with waste were getting worse - and options to deal with this would be reviewed by the board next year.
