Commissioners in Garff say they're wary of making the length of the main coast road 20mph.
At its last meeting the local authority discussed the 20mph limits which will be discussed by Tynwald later.
They said they were against the restrictions on Main Road in Baldrine, but thought a lower limit would be suitable for Glen Mona.
Members voted to submit an interim report on their views to the Department of Infrastructure until they can hold further discussions.
