Port Erin Commissioners has formally given notice of its intention to cut its number of board members.
Commissioners in the authority voted in February to cut its membership from nine to seven, which wouldn't come into effect until the local authority general elections in 2020.
Anyone with representations or objections to the proposal are asked to submit them to the Local Government Unit at the Sea Terminal in Douglas - or by e-mail on localgovernment@gov.im on or before 5pm on April 9.
The authority added no election will be held for a casual vacancy once the scheme comes into force, unless board numbers drops below seven.
