A Ramsey commissioner has welcomed a government U-turn on flood defences for the town.
Earlier today, the Department of Infrastructure said it would withdraw a planning application for a quayside flood wall and other worki.
Juan McGuinness says there'd been concern over the design and whether it was out of character for the area.
On Facebook, he says he hopes a scheme can move forward constructively in future.
