An Onchan Commissioner has stepped down just months after being elected unopposed in April.
John Hamilton - Onchan's lead member for housing - says he's resigning with immediate effect, saying it hasn't been an easy decision.
On Facebook, he said he wants to protect the local authority's integrity and is proud of the contributions he's made.
He added he won't be making any further public comment.
