Commemorative bench vandalised in Scarlett

Police are looking into damage caused to a commemorative bench in the south of the Island.

Officers say a commemorative plaque on a bench in Scarlett has been targeted sometime between Friday, April 10 and Sunday, April 12.

The constabulary says it means the plaque - which had a poem written in memoriam on it - will have to be replaced.

Anyone who may have details which could help find those responsible are asked to contact PC Collings at Police Headquarters on 631 212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
