Manx nationalists will celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the death of one of the Island's outstanding cultural figures next weekend.
The Celtic League, Mec Vannin and the Celtic Congress will remember the life of Sophia Morrison, who was an outstanding authority on the Island's folklore and published Manx Fairy Tales in 1911, six years before her death.
A wreath will be laid at her grave at 1.30pm on Saturday, January 14, followed by a talk on her life by Culture Vannin director Breesha Maddrell.
There'll also be a commemorative concert starting at 7.30pm at The Centenary Centre in Peel.
