The Council of Ministers will meet today (Monday) to consider stepping-up restrictions to mitigate against the spread of COVID-19.
It comes after two possible cases of the Omicron variant were detected on the island this weekend.
The cases were picked up at the Noble's Hospital lab and have been sent to the UK for confirmation.
At the moment mask wearing is only required on public transport and in health care settings while testing has been stepped up at the border.
The health minister said the island's next move will pivot around data collected from the contact tracing system.
