Coins celebrating Queen's Platinum Jubilee to be launched

A new 50p coin will be brought in this year to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

A collection including five coins, all with different designs, including a line from the British National Anthem will be released.

Alongside the text will be one of the Queen's Beasts - a falcon, red dragon, lion, white horse, or griffin, with 'Queen Elizabeth II - Isle of Man' written on the other side.

Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning British monarch as she approaches 70 years on the throne, and the longest serving female head of state in world history.
