Boat Users Encouraged to Safely Dispose of Time Expired Pyrotechnics
The Isle of Man Coastguard team are appealing to boat users to safely dispose of out of date flare guns.
The team have recently held road shows to educate the public on how to deal with time expired pyrotechnics.
The seminars flagged up the potential dangers of using the out of date pyros which are otherwise known as visual distress signals or flare guns.
Boat users in particular have been identified as the demographic most likely to be in contact with the out of date items.
The Coastguard team are encouraging anyone who has them to hand them over for safe disposal.
You can book a meeting by calling a disposal officer on 611033.
