Coastguards in the West came to the assistance of a youth who'd become stranded on a beach last night.
Peel Coastguard was called out at 8.20pm on Friday to Whitestrand Beach to help the youngster who'd become disoriented after being caught out by the fading light whilst fishing out on the rocks and didn't have a torch to find their way back.
Crews quickly located the person and checked they were okay before escorting them back to the waiting vehicles and then onto home.
Teams have praised the individual for calling for help instead of risking injury by trying to make their own way back.
