Douglas Coastguard was called last night to rescue a dog that had gone over a cliff behind Manx Petroleum and become trapped in the netting.
Crews say the job was difficult due to the thick undergrowth they had to go through, and the fact they could only communicate in whistles as their radios weren't safe to use in the area.
The dog was eventually recovered safe and well.
The Coastguard has thanked Douglas Lifeboat crew for helping locate the animal.
