Peel Coastguard was called out in the early hours of the morning after a mysterious distress signal.
Crews were called out at 1.15am after another lifeboat reported the signal.
Officers were asked to go to Niarbyl - but despite searching nothing could be seen.
The team stood down at 3am and returned back to station.
