 
                            An Island football club has paid tribute to its chairman, who died earlier today.
Vince Watkins was a well-known figure at Union Mills Football Club.
On social media, the club says he passed away this morning after suffering complications following surgery in Manchester.
It says the organisation is devastated at his death, and sent condolences to his family.
The club is devastated to announce that our club Chairman Vince Watkins passed away this morning. Vince was recovering in hospital in Manchester from an operation but due to complications over the last few days his heart was not strong enough.
