An Island club has been forced to clarify one of its policies after it sparked fury online.
Guys and Dolls issued a statement at the weekend (May 23) to explain its Public Displays of Affection (PDA) policy, which at one point stated:
"Any further attempts to deliberately provoke it will be regarded as antisocial behavior aimed directly to disrupt our straight clientele, many of whom have family members who are from LGBT+ groups."
The post has since sparked criticism, with some residents claiming the policy came across as discriminatory.
Since then, the club has issued further comment and stated it remains fully inclusive and welcomes anyone regardless of gender, sexuality or ethnicity and says it will be 'very happy' to explain the policy to any authority which approaches for review and will co-operate fully.
