Island film company Cinemanx has asked the government to invest more money in it.
A recent consultation asked if it should be included in Freedom of Information legislation as a government-owned company.
But in its response, it said it's in discussions with Treasury to seek more cash, saying additional costs of answering FOI requests could mean financial problems if that investment hadn't yet arrived.
And it added any such lump sum would be quickly spent if it had to deal with requests.
