The Department of Education and Children says it's received more than £1,300 to run two Island faith schools in the past five years.
A freedom of information request asked how much churches had contributed to religious schools and whether the government had asked for contributions.
St Mary's School received some resources from the Catholic church but the department said it didn't know how much - meanwhile St Thomas's School was given £1,357 from the Church of England.
The department says it has no plans to ask either denomination for more funding.
