There have been real signs of optimism across the retail sector.
That’s according to an MHK with responsibility for the sector - who says the Christmas period proved positive.
Although official figures are yet to be released Richard Ronan says feedback has been optimistic.
He says that bad weather before Christmas could have influenced people’s decisions to shop on the high streets.
