The Fire and Rescue service was called to a fire in Douglas yesterday.
On Facebook the service says Douglas crews were called out to Dalton Street yesterday for a chimney fire.
The height of the chimney made the job difficult but the fire was contained after 40 minutes of work.
The service reminds people that as the temperature gets colder to make sure safety measures are in place when burning wood.
