Pupils from all nine primary schools in Douglas were joined by the Lieutenant Governor, the Mayor and Mayoress and Council Leader to 'plant a tree for the Jubilee.'
The trees have been planted along the edge of Douglas Golf Course, and are all species which are found in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.
Council Leader Claire Wells says the initiative highlights the Island's connection with the Royal family, and has beneficial impact on the environment.
