The Department of Social Care is to cast a critical eye over the quality of care provided in child day care centres.
It is the duty of the department to monitor the quality of care provided by regulated care services, and where applicable improvements can be made.
A consultation will run alongside the review giving all relevant parties the chance to offer their opinions and contributions to the exercise.
Parents in particular are asked to complete the questionnaire as they are best placed to say what expectations they have for their children.
Equally child care providers are asked to contribute.
The overall aim of the review is to ensure the standard of care provision is at the highest it can be.
