From April of next year high earners will lose their child benefit privileges.
Tynwald approved the major changes set by the Department of Social Care during Tuesday’s sitting.
As it stands parents receive £20.40 a week for their first child and an extra £13.50 per week for subsequent children.
Those families earning more than £90,000 will now stop receiving the weekly payments, those earning less than £60,000 will continue as normal.
