Chief Minister Alf Cannan has announced he is taking over as The Health and Social Care Minister after Lawrie Hooper resigned.
He says he will serve in this position for a limited time to provide stability while considering options for a full-time replacement.
Mr Cannan also says that there has been significant difficulties with financial discipline in the Department and that will be a focus going forward.
Mr Hooper resigned this afternoon during the first sitting in Tynwald after the summer break.
