The Chief Minister will make an urgent statement about the Island's former medical director in the House of Keys next week.
It'll be before members sit for questions, with Mr Cannan commenting on the high profile tribunal involving the DHSC and Dr Rosalind Ranson.
It comes as Dr Ranson has been awarded £3.2m in compensation following her 'unfair dismissal' from the department.
The Employment and Equality Tribunal agreed she should be awarded £1.95m in lost future earnings and nearly £750,000 in future pension losses.
