Chief Minister Alf Cannan says he's shocked and saddened by a death in Ramsey this afternoon.
Police have confirmed one person died, and one person has been arrested.
Mr Cannan says his thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and friends of the victim.
And in a statement he's asking the public not to speculate or share distressing material related to the incident online, while a police investigation continues.
