Chief Minister Alf Cannan says the Isle of Man's air passenger duty isn't more expensive than the UK's.
In Tynwald, he faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew HMK Jason Moorhouse about easyJet's decision to stop flying to Belfast.
Mr Moorhouse said the reason behind the service being axed was the APD charge and asked whether any action was taken by ministers.
