Throwing open or suspending the Island's work permit system won't be happening any time soon, according to the Chief Minister.
He was responding to Unite the Union, which last week criticised a Chamber of Commerce suggestion the system should be suspended to allow businesses to recruit staff.
Mr Quayle says there will be an extra exemption from the Department of Economic Development for those in finance and professional services.
