The Chief Minister has offered his 'deepest apologies' to Dr Rosalind Ranson for the 'harm she has experienced.'
Alfred Cannan made an urgent statement about the Island's former medical director in the House of Keys this morning.
It comes following the results of a high profile tribunal involving the DHSC and Dr Ranson, which saw her awarded £3.2m in compensation for her unfair dismissal from government.
Earlier today, Mr Cannan said he wanted to express his 'deep regret that Dr Ranson was subjected to such unprofesional and damaging behaviours.'
Futher, the Chief Minister said he 'acknowledges the government's shortcomings', saying they've taking action on the past 12 months to deliver meaningful changes.
