Chief Minister had to be consistent in decision to fire Peter Karran

Allan Bell has said said he had to be consistent in his sacking of Peter Karran considering the recent action taken against other members of government for dissent.

The Chief Minister was speaking after Mr Karran was fired from his role as Education Minister for a 'lack of responsibility' in his actions and comments regarding the proposed £24million investment in Pinewood Studios.

Mr Bell said he had no choice but to sack the Liberal Vannin leader, although he was regretful it had come to that.
