Chief Minister election day

Tynwald will elect a new Chief Minister today.

It's one of the first jobs for the new-look administration when the court sits at 10.30am.

Alf Cannan, Kate Beecroft and Howard Quayle have put their names forward for the top job - their statements will be laid before the court.

MHKs and MLCs will then vote for the person they want to take over the top job from former Ramsey MHK Allan Bell.
