The Chief Minister was in attendance at this week’s Labour Party Conference in Manchester.
Allan Bell was in the audience for Tuesday’s keynote speech from Labour leader, Ed Milliband; he also held discussions with members of the shadow cabinet – including Ed Balls MP and Liam Byrne MP.
It represents the continuation of the government’s programme of proactive political engagement.
The Chief Minister used the trip to focus on the Island’s importance to the UK economy, in particular the North West of England.
