Chief Minister Delivers Optimistic Speech
The Chief Minister delivered an optimistic State of the Nation Speech yesterday reassuring the Island that Government will make it through the current crisis.
The Chief Minister used the speech to reassure the public that in spite of the current challenges faced by his Government things could be much worse.
As it stands they enter 2010 with a significantly reduced budget however he said they are still in a position of relative strength, with low unemployment and no external borrowing.
The focus was also placed on how to generate new income streams to help the Island continue their 26 years of unbroken economic growth.
