Chief Minister Howard Quayle says he's written to Donald Trump to congratulate him.
Mr Trump, who won the US election earlier this month, will becomes the country's president in January.
Mr Quayle says the Manx government has written to the president-elect, sending its best wishes.
But he says the letter itself didn't broach any topics or issues for the future:
