The news of the publication of a book by the former chief executive of collapsed bank Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander has been met with mixed responses as depositors wait to be compensated.
Armann Thorvaldsson’s book How I lived Iceland’s Boom and Bust charts the rise and fall of the bank, which went from being a small-scale operation to a business worth 6 billion pounds.
There’s growing concern from the depositors that this is merely an opportunity to cash in on their misfortune.
