Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich has had his Manx-registered aircraft deregistered.
Earlier today, it emerged UK Transport Minister Grant Shapps had asked for the helicopter to be taken off the register following the imposition of sanctions on the Russian oligarch on Thursday.
The UK imposed the measures saying Abramovich's steel firm Evraz may have supplied steel for Russian tanks, and the billionaire had close links to Putin.
His helicopter, which had the registration M-HELI, was deregistered this afternoon.
