As the new year gets underway, Police are urging motorists to make sure their vehicles are fit for the roads.
Officers are asking residents to do some simple checks to stay safe on the highways in light of the recent poor weather.
Among the tips the constabulary is suggesting are to check your tyre treads and pressures, oil and water levels along with wipers and electrics.
Authorities took to social media to issue the message.
