The Office of Fair Trading is asking people to check toys are safe for children this Christmas.
When wrapping presents you should check the packaging to see if they carry any warnings or symbols that relate to age limits and make sure they are suitable.
The symbols can also indicate that products meet applicable EU or UK legislation or standards.
Care should also be taken to avoid counterfeit toys which are often made without adhering to strict safety standards.
