Beach Buddies is on a mission to pick up thousands of tiny pieces of polystyrene following recent storms.
The organisation says it found the river and beach at Ballaugh covered after poor weather.
The charity is looking for volunteers who may have waders or - better still - chest waders to remove the polystyrene from the river.
Beach Buddies will supply equipment such as nets and seives.
The session takes place on Sunday morning from 10.30am to 12pm.
