A local charity has seen a 'significant' rise in reports of domestic abuse since lockdown ended.
Victim Support - which helps victims of domestic abuse on Island took to Twitter to confirm the news.
In a tweet, the charity says it's had 85 referrals and 628 contacts between May & July, relating to both sexual violence and domestic abuse.
The organisation says it's working really hard to support as many existing and new clients as possible.
Our charity has sadly seen a significant increase in both referrals and contacts in the past 3 months (May-July) with increased pressure on our services. We're working really hard to support as many existing and new clients as possible. (2/2) #charity #iom #itsnotok pic.twitter.com/B7faacrohC
