It's not Christmas, but a bird went down a 40 feet chimney and had to be rescued by the Manx Wild Bird Aid!
The charity said a fledging jackdaw ending up trapped behind a boarded up fireplace in a premises on Athol Street, Douglas.
Thankfully a Manx Wild Bird Aid volunteer was soon on scene, a panel was swiftly removed and the bird emerged none the worse from his little adventure.
However with no nest or parents to return to, he will remain in our care until he can be released in a few weeks time.
