A local charity has issued a plea, after reports of adandoned terrapins being left to die.
The Manx SPCA says the creatures are being left in local ponds 'to die a slow death as non-natives in our Manx environment'
People are now being encouraged to take any of the unwanted animals to Ard Jerkyll, where they'll be housed and rehomed.
