A number of gulls have recently been reported to a local charity after getting caught in fishing line.
The Manx Wild Bird Aid shared a video of a rescue in Castletown last week, where the bird was 'fighting for his life to escape.'
The charity says there were also reports of a gull in the harbour that had a hook and weight attached to its beak, and another with its legs tied together with fishing line.
Anglers and fishermen are asked to chop up old line before discarding and pick up any tackle lying around.
