Two local charities have hit an important milestone.
The charities are working together to raise £1.5 million to provide the scanners for Noble’s Hospital,
Chair of Manx Breast Cancer Support Group Julie Stokes said: ‘ We’ve still got a good way to go to take us to target, but are delighted to have come this far and want to thank all of the Manx public who have helped us.’
The new equipment will be in a new Diagnostic Imaging Suite in the Radiology Department, which will also have a new MRI machine.
The Department of Health and Social Care is funding the cost of extensive building works to accommodate the machines from the Radiology Department’s capital budget.
