The Steam Packet is making changes to the January schedule due to low tides at Heysham Port.
Apparently the recent bad winter weather has led to added silting, which has coincided with low tides around scheduled arrival and departure times.
The Company says it's been forced to make changes to comply with safety requirements as there is too little water to berth safely.
Customers will be notified about affected sailings via text and email.
The Port has brought forward it’s scheduled dredging campaign which will commence next week and is expected to address the current water depth issues.
