Work on the Slieau Whallian footpath to create easier access has been completed.
The DOI has now marked the permissive path and highlighted the route, as it had become overgrown and walkers had started deviating off the track.
Three new stiles have been installed which will also help walkers keep to the route without obstacles.
The department is also reminding the public that the landowner uses the field for livestock, and dogs are not permitted on the path.
