The cost of taking a driving test could be about to rise by 30 per cent.
Next month in Tynwald, Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas will ask members to back fee changes for motorists and bikers.
Under the plans, the cost of a provisional licence would fall by 36 per cent, but full licences would rise from £36 to £45 and driving tests for cars and bikes would jump from £57 to £72.
Mr Thomas says the fees haven't changed for a decade, and claims the new charges will create a fairer system.
