A regeneration scheme could dump local committees who oversee where its money is spent.
In Tynwald this week, Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly will ask members to back changes to the Town and Village Regeneration Scheme, which was first set up in 2011.
The amended scheme would see up to £10,000 funding given to projects approved by the department, with no role for regional regeneration committees which used to be involved.
A report notes the scheme hasn't had government funding for some time but now has £250,000 a year to spend on businesses for the next four years.
