Ramsey commissioners will be paying their respects to a former town resident who gave his life during World War One this evening.
Private Sydney Parkinson Richardson lived in Bowring Road - he was mortally wounded in 1917 during the Battle of Arras and died a hundred years ago today, aged just 21.
At 6.30 pm a cross will be placed at Ramsey's War Memorial and a minute's silence observed to mark his loss.
The commissioners say members of the public are welcome to attend.
