A ground-breaking ceremony has been held at the site of the new Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool.
Chief Minister, Howard Quayle MHK, was joined by Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, Steve Rotheram, and Liverpool's Deputy Mayor Councillor Lynnie Hinnigan at the location for the £38million development at the Prince's Half Tide Dock.
As part of the occasion, a time capsule was presented which will be built into the structure containing a message from Mr Quayle, drone footage of the Isle of Man and a newspaper put together by pupils at Henry Bloom Noble Primary School in Douglas.
Construction on the facility is due to begin in earnest this month and is currently expected to be finished in Summer 2021.
