Mark Cavendish has been putting the Isle of Man on the map again after being shortlisted for the sports personality of the year award.
The prestigious award is being given to one of ten big sporting stars this Sunday.
The 24 year old from laxey is up against Jensen Button and Ryan Giggs and David Haye. Bookies William Hill puts him as fifth favourite. Previous winners of the prestigious award include Henry cooper, Linford Christie and David Beckham.
Somebody that’s prouder than most is his mum Adele.
